It's a recognised world wide trend that Christian worship needs to be relevant to today's people and today's circumstances. Praise is an essential component in Christian Worship. It's the expression of our joy in acknowledging the majesty of God. Songs with words that we can readily identify with provide a valuable channel of communicating with our Creator in our worship. |
Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him!... he heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds...Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp. (Psalm 147) |
In our service, music as also used to prepare our hearts to receive the messages of God. Some of the songs we sing are inspiring and stirring in a powerful sense. Others are more reflective and contemplative, and allows us to communicate our inner longings for the shelter of God's grace and forgiveness. Our Worship team typically consists of four singers and a number of part time and full time musicians. We use a wide range of instruments including an electric piano, keyboard, acoustic and bass guitar and drums. |
